Wow, that was fast!

I can't believe summer is over and October is here. Here are some pics from the garden.

Yummy!

Flower from a Okra plant before it becomes a vegetable.

I think it got too matured or something because it was too hard when we cooked it. I've never been a big Okra fan but its a quite easy to grow.

Japanese Blood Grass is so cool.

I think we counted over 70 Morning Glories one morning!

Pinky's best friend Cleo.

Tomatoes were getting so big, they were literally bursting.

This planter was built around a tree on Ossington Ave (just south of Dundas) for my friend Erin who runs Cantadora Naturopathic Healthcare Centre. She's awesome and has basically helped cure my 20 plus years of insomnia through acupuncture. Check her out at http://cantadora.ca/

Double Decker

This is the Double Decker. The base planter is 18 inches wide by 3 feet long by 14 inches high. The top planter is 9 inches wide by 3 feet long by 11 inches high. The overall height is 3 half feet. On the bottom planter, I've got peas growing on the sides so that they can crawl up the sides, some rapini and turnips. I've got morning glory's on the top planter but I still need to set up a trellis. Double Decker's start at $350.

Tri-Level Planter

Hi everyone. This is my first post and I give you the Tri-Level Planter. This is my experiment in trying to create more planting space in a small area. The base is approximately 20 inches wide by 4 feet long and is 5 feet high. The top planters get smaller, 12 inches wide for the middle and 8 inches wide for the top. This gives you 12 square feet of planting space in a 1.5 feet my 4 feet of space! My friend Swati & Pascal at PixelPrint has it and she just started planting so I'll post pictures over the summer. Here are some pics of it pre-stained and stained including details of the drainage and liner.
